Travel Guide to IIT Roorkee for Quorkee Festival

Note: For quizzers travelling using Bus, make sure to ask the conductor/driver if the bus drops them of at ISBT Roorkee and not Roorkee bypass (Golden Dhaba). Govt. buses are preferable as they would drop you at ISBT, which is 10 steps away from campus.

From Delhi to Roorkee

By Train

• 12401 Kota DDN AC Express: Departs from NZM (Hazrat Nizamuddin) at 23:50 and reaches RK (Roorkee) at 03:08.
• 19609 UDZ YNRK Express: Departs from DEC (Delhi Cantonment) at 02:15 and arrives at RK at 07:25.
• 19019 BDTS HW Express: Departs from NZM at 02:50 and reaches RK at 06:31.
• 19031 Yoga Express: Departs from DEC at 04:05 and arrives at RK at 10:34.
• 22659 KCVL YNRK SF Express: Departs from NZM at 06:00 and arrives at RK at 11:26.
• 12017 DDN SHTBDI Express: Departs from NDLS (New Delhi) at 06:45 and arrives at RK at 10:47.

By Bus

• State-run buses: Buses run by Uttarakhand Roadways (to Roorkee, Haridwar or Rishikesh) depart from Kashmere Gate ISBT at regular intervals (<30 mins) and drop off at Roorkee bus stand, taking 4-5 hours.
• Deluxe AC buses: Available from Kashmere Gate ISBT, journey time approximately 4-5 hours.
• Volvo buses: Depart from Anand Vihar ISBT, travel time around 4-5 hours. These will drop you off at Roorkee bypass.

From Chandigarh to Roorkee

By Train

• 14610 Hemkunt Express: Departs from CDG (Chandigarh) at 02:30 and reaches RK (Roorkee) at 05:23.
• 14632 ASR DDN Express: Departs from CDG at 02:43 and arrives at RK at 05:37.
